Errachidia Merzouga – Camel trek and night in the desert: Day 1

3 day From Errachidia to merzouga desert Marrakech On your arrival at the airport in Errachidia, our driver or guide will be there to welcome you. You have approximately 2 hours of a drive to reach your next type of transport. Passing extensive palm groves and hidden kasbahs along the way, adobe villages and agricultural lands, you will see some of the different landscapes until the red dunes of the Sahara appear on the horizon. Merzouga is not far and your camels are waiting for you. They will carry you over the soft dunes to reach your camp for the night. A welcome mint tea awaits while your dinner is prepared. Merzouga – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges: Day 2

Our Marrakech Camel Tours, A desert sunrise is one of the most special events in the Sahara. One of the team will make sure you don´t miss it. After breakfast, you ride the camels back to where your driver is waiting for you. Your journey today takes you first to the market town of Rissani, the last trading post for the desert and a thriving souk. Next stop is the fossil and mineral capital of Erfoud, here you can see the process of cutting, polishing and preparing these ancient pieces to be ready for sale. The road turns westerly into the Dades Valley and in Tinghir we take a deviation to visit the 300-metre high canyon of Todra. The crystal clear waters of the river carved its way through the mountain creating this incredible gorge. Back to the Valley and we take you on another deviation to visit another amazing geologic wonder; the Dades Gorge, with its unique rock formations. Here you will spend the night in a local guesthouse with dinner and breakfast along with impressive views.

Dades Gorges – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakech: Day 3

Our Marrakech Camel Tours, After a traditional breakfast, we depart and return to the Dades Valley, following this route, we pass many ancient kasbahs and follow the Rose Valley where the Damascus rose is grown and harvested for its beneficial oils. We can stop at a cooperative so you can see the range of products. Leaving the desertified landscapes we reach Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Africa and home to several cinema studios. Next stop is to visit the famous Ksar of Ait Benhaddou best known as the film location for The Gladiator movie. This fortress has seen many a director and cast. The High Atlas Mountains lie ahead of you and the road winds its way up to the 2260 meter high pass at Tizi n´Tichka where you can grasp the immense views. The road descends then through adobe and stone Berber villages and farmlands to emerge in the plains below and finally reach the mysterious city of Marrakech. Here we end our adventure and our tour with you.
